MISSION: Our mission is to give aspiring models an opportunity to follow their dreams and bring out their inner fierce by instilling poise, optimistic behavior, sophistication, and humbleness. We offer comprehensive training and knowledge necessary to pursue a variety of careers in the fashion industry.

TRAINING: Training consists of runway techniques, cat walk preparation, facial expressions, poses, casting call preparation, make-up & hair tips, fashion pointers, confidence builders, interviewing skills, portfolio/resume building, fashion show experience, and traveling opportunities. Members train twice a week. Member schedules will be given upon registration.

OPPORTUNITIES: Models have been featured in New York Fashion Week, Georgia Peach Fashion Week, Orlando International Fashion Week, Model Madness, and more. This upcoming year we will be participating in more shows while wearing pieces from our newly founded boutique as well as other designers.

BACKGROUND: My name is Te’Leisha Johnson. I am a twenty-five-year-old native of Monroe, La. I aspire to shape the lives of young adults and give back to my community. I started POSH by hosting a two week modeling Camp to give aspiring models an opportunity to follow their dreams. I started in Monroe, La by participating in hair and fashion shows, so I plan to give others the opportunity to do the same. I have been featured in New York Fashion Week, Georgia Peach Fashion Week, Love and Hip Hop ATL, and Cynthia Bailey’s Modeling Search. I am also a former Miss Black Dynasty and Walk Tech at Grambling State University, where I received my Bachelor’s in Social Work.

While modeling, I was exposed to the fashion industry and knew that if I wanted to provide more opportunities for my models I needed to do more. I thought, if I want to secure casting calls I need to become the person to pick the models. That thought turned into a business, Poshly Dressed Boutique.
